An Update on Our Unplanned Hiatus

Good Morning / Midday / Afternoon / Night loyal FurInform readers,

An update is deserved on our unplanned hiatus. We do sincerely apologize for our absence. It was unplanned, and we assure you we intend to work hard to prevent these in the future. We will be over the next few days posting our backlog of articles to make up for those missed before resuming our regularly scheduled posts.

The reasons for our hiatus are multiple, and we'll do our best to convey them briefly.

Firstly, the US government's efforts of determining any anti-fascist organization, which FurInform proudly is, as a terrorist organization, as well as their moves to label atheists as terrorist elements, made our future being headquartered in the US shaky. We're working behind the scenes to relocate our domain and other assets to Laze's location in Mexico in order to ensure our continued existence in light of the direct fascistic attacks by the US regime. This process is ongoing however as it stands, we do not see any foreseeable issues impeding our ability to bring communist and furry articles to our readers. Your continued support helps us a lot in this endeavor, and its imperative we continue this fight however we can.

Secondly, our issues with the email provider remain ongoing. It appeared as thought the issues would be resolved in short order. As a result, it made more sense to withhold articles for a short period (only spanning one or two articles) for the issue to be corrected so we may continue sending out emails. Especially for our community submitted articles, we were hoping to not need to publish them without going out as emails since they're hard work for our community to make. However, the issue still remains unresolved so we are going to continue posting on our website in the interim, and our subscribers will be the first to know when the issue does finally resolve itself. We continue to thank everyone for sticking around in light of the issues with emails.

Thirdly, we are adjusting our posting schedule from every third to every fourth day, with the intention that as we grow, we may decrease the wait time between articles as we get more writers. As it stands, the world is changing so quickly and so drastically that we don't feel 3 days between articles is enough time to permit our staff and our community writers to adequately research and respond to these events, especially when it has to do with community involvement and current event related articles. Adding the extra day allows us to still regularly update our readers on intersectional furry and communist issues, without producing less research-backed journalism. Having research behind our articles, whether it be an opinion piece or a news article or everything in between is crucial to combat the rampant misinformation swirling on the internet these days. As FurInform is strictly anti-AI for our writings, it's important we give our staff and community writers more time to do their own research before posting. We sincerely hope this change brings about more powerful articles to fighting against the capitalist foe, and we fully intend to increase the amount of articles we post as we grow.

As you join us for each article, we are one step closer to achieving a better world. Our continued series by Rory on worker rights and unions is soon to reach European issues, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Our community writer Cole's series on Irish issues continues strong, and we have several other behind the scenes writers preparing article series soon to come out. We're truly excited to continue producing articles for our community, and we apologize for our unplanned hiatus.

Thank you to all our fervent readers, you make this all possible! Starting tomorrow, our backlogged articles will be posted one per day until we are current and from then, we will resume our normally scheduled posting.

In Solidarity,
FurInform
